Chicony is committed to environmental sustainability. In addition to complying with the EU RoHS and REACH requirements, we also integrate environmental regulations from global markets and customer-specific restricted substance lists to ensure international product compliance. The Quality Assurance Center formulates the “Environmental Substance Management Specifications” for reference by the R&D departments of each business unit. In addition, the Restricted Substance ContWrol (RSC) units within each business unit establish internal control standards based on product characteristics and customer requirements.
Through three major mechanisms—source management, laboratory testing, and the Green Product Management (GPM) system — Chicony ensures product safety for both the environment and human health. In 2025, our products did not incur any violations of regulatory limits for hazardous substances at either the customer end or the market end.
Correspondence between Legal Compliance and Emerging Issue
Assessment and Management Mechanism
2. Material Control: The unit responsible for RSC will confirm that the products provided by the suppliers meet environmental protection requirements, and will conduct education, training, and audits.
3. Green Product Management (GPM) System Management: The GPM system is adopted for unified management of hazardous substances to ensure all materials comply with restricted substance requirements.
4. Compliance Verification: Establish a hazardous substance testing laboratory, with testing coverage including RoHS 2.0 and Halogen-Free (HF) requirements, enabling timely control and monitoring of incoming materials as well as various direct and indirect materials used within the facilities.

Supplier Hazardous Substance Management
Supplier Evaluation and Management
Based on the characteristics of the supplier’s products, it is required to obtain corresponding system certification and to conduct annual RSC self-assessments and on-site re-evaluations for key materials.
2. Supplier Commitment and Management
Suppliers are required to sign the “Certificate of Supplier Material (CEC-QA3-001-F01)” to commit that the products provided meet the environmental protection requirements of CEC and to assume legal and compensation responsibilities for any losses caused by noncompliance.
3. Supplier Inspection
Based on product characteristics, each business unit establishes sampling frequencies and performed sampling inspections of supplier materials.
Supply Chain Hazardous Substance Control Mechanism
2. Non-compliance management When environmental compliance issues are detected, the GPM system immediately flags them as “transaction suspended” status, ensuring that non-compliant materials do not enter the production line and effectively preventing harmful substances from contaminating the final products.
3. Risk Management For suppliers with repeated violations, order reductions are implemented or qualification as an approved supplier is revoked to carry out supply chain environment performance management.
4. Hazardous Substance Substitution Program Chicony has established a conversion mechanism for existing materials, requiring suppliers to complete the transition to new environmental specifications before the stipulated deadline. For environmentally friendly product materials designated by customers, we will carry out replacements according to the deadlines set by the customers. We clearly identify environmentally compliant materials through the BOM coding system, ensuring that products fully comply with international environmental regulations such as RoHS and REACH, thereby minimizing the product's environmental footprint.
