Joined the RE100 organization, 2024 RE100 Taiwan Members' Meeting
In August 2023, CEC officially became a member of the RE100 initiative and committed to achieving 100% renewable electricity usage by 2030.
The RE100 initiative, launched by The Climate Group, aims to promote the goal of achieving 100% renewable electricity usage among businesses. As of the end of 2024, over 400 renowned companies worldwide have committed to and are advancing the use of renewable electricity.
The RE100 Taiwan Member' Meeting is held annually by the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. During the conference, members share and discuss key trends in renewable energy for the year. In 2024, in addition to thematic presentations, the conference will feature, for the first time, group discussions based on members' expectations and their respective industries, focusing on four major themes: "Green Leases," "Overseas Bases," "Market Supply and Demand," and "Large Electricity Consumers." CEC will participate in the discussions on "Overseas Bases" and "Market Supply and Demand," sharing experiences on how to procure green electricity in regions outside of Taiwan, as well as the achievements in promoting renewable energy.
Through discussions with members, we have gained a more diverse range of information regarding renewable electricity and have collaboratively deliberated on methods for utilizing renewable energy, collectively advancing towards a low-carbon and green energy future.
